What Does this CXR Test Result Mean?
Hi, Just had CXR--shows fluffy material at the bases --Dr. says to use nebulizer q 3 hr. and hope it resolves, no antibiotic ordered. Have asthma x 40 yr., started Tamiflu for Type A flu 2 days ago. Temp ~99.6 Also on 40 mg Prednisone taper over 8 days. Question--how much harm is all this coughing doing to my lungs?

there is mild infection in lower lung fields that is why fluffy air space opacities seen.. Dat ll be completely cleared by continuing the same drugs.. as u have an underlying small airway disease like asthma there may be mild emphysema which ll alter the normal pulmonary function . nothing much to worry about
